Jay Leno took a brake from all the supercars he reviewed lately and in its latest episode of his show he decided to take a look at the 1956 Maserati A6G-2000 Allemano - a model that took best in its class at Pebble Beach 2011.

The car was brought to him by Jonathan Segal - the owner of this exquisitely restored Allemano.

What makes the Maserati A6G-2000 even more special - next to being a very cool classic car, is that only 21 units were ever built by coach builder Allemano. The A6G-2000 was the first sports car developed by Maserati after the World War II and was powered by a 2-liter six-cylinder engine with an output of about 140 horsepower.

Currently the A6G-2000 are very expensive cars, as there were a few units sold for a few millions at the current auctions.

Check out the video to see what Jay Leno thinks about the 1956 Maserati A6G-2000 Allemano.
