Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG confirmed for New York Auto Show next month

Could have 335 HP

The extended cut of Mercedes-Benz's CLA Super Bowl ad confirms the CLA45 AMG will debut at the New York Auto Show.

After having a closer look at the extended version of the "Soul" ad for the CLA we noticed at 1:41 viewers are invited to "enter for a chance to win a trip to NYC to see the CLA and the CLA45 AMG in person." This means we'll have full details about the car around March 29 when the show kicks off.

Power will reportedly come from a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 335 HP (246 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. It's the same mill under the hood of the A45 AMG and will probably be connected to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and an all-wheel drive system. This setup should provide the car with a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in around five seconds and an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
