Subaru Legacy 2.5i tS gets the STI treatment [video]

Production will be limited to 300 units

Subaru has introduced an STI tuned Legacy in Japan.

Available as a sedan or wagon, the 2.5i EyeSight tS is distinguished by front and rear spoilers, a sports exhaust system and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, there's leather / Alcantara sport seats, titanium gray trim and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with red contrast stitching. Other highlights include an STI-badged instrument cluster, a push-button ignition and a "Nick Toro" shifter.

Power is provided by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder boxer engine that develops 173 HP (127 kW) and 235 Nm (173 Nm) of torque. It is connected to a continuously variable transmission and an all-wheel drive system.

For improved handling, the model has been equipped with a front tower brace, aluminum control arms, Bilstein shocks and STI coil springs.

Production will be limited to 300 units and Japanese pricing starts at 3,360,000 yen.
