ATS SPORT 1000 detailed

ATS Sport 1000

Weighs 400 kg.

Reborn ATS Italian car brand has provided additional details about its SPORT 1000 model.

Set to recreate a 1960s racing sports car, it features a stainless steel chassis paneled in aluminum that weighs only 55 kg (121 pounds). The GRP-made body is entirely removable and tips the scales at 57 kg (125 pounds). Thanks to the lightweight construction, the entire vehicle weighs only 400 kg (882 pounds).

ATS says that its two-seater can be powered by a motorcycle engine from Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki or any other inline four-cylinder. It has a chain drive transmission and a Quaife ATB limited slip differential. The SPORT 1000 features a double wishbone suspension with fully adjustable shock absorbers and comes with front and rear anti-roll bars.

Safety features include a collapsible steering column, six-point Sparco seatbelts, aluminum tank with “explosafe”, a front Honeycomb crash box and a 50mm rollbar. Braking is provided by a Tarox system with six-piston calipers for both front and rear wheels.

The ATS SPORT 1000 is already available and costs from 25,000 euros.
