An extra 32 HP

Superchips is offering a two-stage ECU remap for the Vauxhall Astra VXR.

The Opel/Vauxhall Astra OPC/VXR was launched towards the end of 2011 with a powerful 2.0-liter turbocharged engine developing 280 HP (206 kW) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. Now, ECU specialists from Superchips are offering a two-stage kit for those who want additional power via software optimization.

Stage 1 ECU remap adds 23 HP (17 kW) and 45 lb-ft (61 Nm) of torque and should make the car go faster than the stock's 5.8 seconds in the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) run. The additional output can be had for only 455 GBP (including VAT) and is available for all cars built from March 2012 onwards.

They are also selling a Stage 2 ECU remap calibrated to suit the models equipped with a free-flowing aftermarket exhaust system and sports catalyst from Superchips' partner Thorney Motorsport. In this case, output is lifted by 32 HP (23 kW) and 55 lb-ft (75 Nm), for a total of 312 HP (229 kW) and 350 lb-ft (474 Nm). Pricing remains the same at 455 GBP (including VAT).
