Will debut at New York Comic-Con

Hyundai has taken the wraps off their Santa Fe Zombie Survival Machine.

Set to debut at New York Comic-Con on October 10th, the one-off model was created by Anson Kuo who used The Walking Dead Chop Shop configurator app. While Kuo's Santa Fe was one of over 82,500 submissions, his vehicle was selected as the winner and will be turned into a concept by Galpin Auto Sports.

Since the crossover was designed to handle the zombie apocalypse, it has been equipped with three machine guns, an automatic crossbow and razor-wired windows. There's also body armor, swords and an exhaust silencer.

According to Hyundai Motor America's vice president of Marketing, Steve Shannon, “We love Anson Kuo’s take on this Santa Fe Zombie Survival Machine – it’s creative… and deadly." He added, "With help from the popularity of The Walking Dead franchise, Hyundai continues to expand the conversation around Hyundai vehicles with young and passionate audiences."
