To be unveiled later this year

Hyundai has announced the next generation of the Genesis will be offered with an optional all-wheel drive arrangement.

Hyundai Traction (HTRAC) is an advanced all-wheel drive system which can electronically control torque split between the two axles depending on driving and road conditions. The new Genesis will be revealed at home in South Korea before the end of the year and it will represent the first model to be offered with this AWD setup.

Hyundai says HTRAC will allow the person behind the wheel to choose between several available driving modes "for a sophisticated and tailored driving experience." The system has gone through durability and driving performance tests at the Nürburgring in Germany and also at the Yeongam Formula 1 circuit in South Korea. HTRAC was also involved in severe winter tests in Europe to make sure it will work as advertised.
