Tune it! Safe! Brabus Mercedes A-Class introduced in Essen [video]

Promotes safe and responsible tuning

Tune it! Safe! has unveiled their 8th specialty model at the Essen Motor Show.

Designed to promote safe and responsible tuning, the car is based on the Mercedes A250 BlueEFFICIENCY and features a Brabus body kit with a front spoiler, a roof spoiler and a rear diffuser. There's also police livery, a four-tailpipe exhaust system and 19-inch alloy wheels with Hankook Ventus S1 Evo 2 tires.

Interior changes are limited but include alloy pedals, special floor mats and controls for the roof-mounted light bar.

Power is provided by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that has been upgraded to produce 245 HP (180 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque. It enables the model to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.2 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). In terms of efficiency, the hatchback averages 6.1 L/100km (38.6 mpg US / 46.3 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 143 g/km.
