EKS has unveiled their Audi S1 which will compete in the 2014 FIA World Rallycross Championship.

Set to be driven by Mattias Ekstrom and Pontus Tidemand, the model will reportedly feature an all-wheel drive system and a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 600 bhp (447 kW). This should enable the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 1.9 seconds which is 3.9 seconds faster than the standard car can accelerate from 0-62 mph.

Additional information will be released next month but Ekstrom said “This year our plans are to complete as much research and development of the car that we can for the future. Our goal is of course to build the best car."
