Lamborghini Huracan is Italian trademarks new supercar name

Lamborghini Huracan

Lamborghini has been known to produce some of the most dramatic supercars, but dramatic in a good way where the theatrics and thrills that they provide are the characteristics which make their cars so epically unique.

But to add to the effect, Lamborghini has recently been choosing some badass names for their future models. After filing for the "Urus" name trademark, which was given to their recent SUV concept, and the name Deimos-the name of the ancient Greek god of terror and dread-Lamborghini has reportedly trademarked another name: Hurac n, or Spanish for hurricane. Another meaning for Hurac n is the god of fire, wind and storms in ancient Mayan mythology, which is far more fitting.

The story behind the Hurac n is that we could potentially be seeing a new model. Usually, manufacturers are known to trademark names for new future models, though not all of those future models follow through to production. Lamborghini on the other hand has a reputation of utilizing their name trademarks for their new models.

Specifics as to what models the new names will be attributed to haven't been released. At the same time though, it's not unreasonable to think that the new Gallardo replacement and the production version of Urus will utilize those names in some way.
