Might be launched next year
According to a recent report, Chevrolet could offer the Trailblazer in the United States.
Nothing is official but an industry source told Edmunds that Chevrolet intends to launch the model sometime next year. However, Chevrolet spokesman Mike Albano dismissed the idea and said the company is happy with sales of the Equinox, Traverse and Tahoe / Suburban.
While traditional body-on-frame SUVs have fallen out of favor with most Americans, they still appeal to customers who tow and go off-roading. Toyota recently acknowledged this small but important market by confirming plans to keep body-on-frame SUVs in their lineup.
Little is known about a potential US-spec Trailblazer, but it is based on the Chevrolet Colorado so engine options would likely be shared with the upcoming American variant.
