Video: Porsche 911 Captured in “Motionless Driving” Presentation

Porsche 911 in Motionless Driving

Porsche's latest generation of 911 sports car, dubbed the 991-series, mark a significant advancement in the production of such German sports cars and have helped to reinvigorate new life into the old-911 platform which despite its age, continues to be one of the most impressive sports cars on the market.

And in order to showcase the new 911 in all of its beauty, Porsche recently set up the car at the company's Center Padova at a special event with projection-mapping technology which aims to capture the emotions of driving such a car while the car in fact remains stationary the entire time.

It's all extremely technical and even though it's hard to wrap your head around the technology behind such a presentation, it's definitely worth watching!

Video: Under Suzuki Claiming Record lap at Japan’s Tsukuba Circuit

Under Suzuki Claiming Record lap at Japan's Tsukuba Circuit

Claiming a lap record at any circuit around the world is an impressive feat and one certainly worth celebrating. The latest lap time to go tumbling was at the Tsukuba Circuit in Japan when private racing driver Under Suzuki topped all previous times in his heavily modified Nissan Silvia S15 by Scorch Racing.

The most notable thing about the accomplishment is that Suzuki did not have the backing of a large team behind him as he simply rented the circuit for himself in his quest to set a new lap record.

After only being on circuit for 22 minutes and burning through 4 sets of 295/35R18 Advan A050 tires, Suzuki set a new lap record on his 8th lap clocking a 52.649 second time in his Silvia which produces no less than 800hp.

Fortunately, Automotive videographer Luke Huxham was able to capture the entire venture on film and although this feat is extremely impressive, it's likely that Under Suzuki could break into the 51-second mark after more revised aero modifications are completed and a new ECU is fitted!

The Audi RS5 is one of the latest additions to the Audi RS lineup. The slick german coupe fitted with a 4.2 liter V8 engine is one of the most sought after Audi models, but sometimes you want to have more than just stock.

The owner of this white RS5 decided to go for a full Inconel Exhaust upgrade, made by Kline Innovation. With some ECU settings now upgraded, the car develops somewhere around 500 horsepower. Thanks to the Valvetronic, you can choose between a regular driving mode which is quieter, and a more agressive approach, which will help you let people know you’re coming when you’re a few miles away.

Car Crash: 1,200hp AMS Alpha Nissan GT-R Wrecked in Brazil

AMS Alpha Nissan GT-R Wrecked in Brazil

A fatal accident happened last Friday in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The 37-year-old driver of a Nissan GT-R had been driving down Atlantic Avenue with his 24-year-old passenger Munich Angeloni. The accident killed the passenger and placed the driver in hospital with a critical condition.

Internet rumours suggest that the GT-R in question had completed a 1,200hp AMS Alpha conversion recently. Sao Paulo is home to the only South American tuning shop to carry official AMS dealership status so the claim is entirely plausible. Its thought that the car had standard rims and standard road tyres, causing the back end to step out under heavy acceleration.
