BMW M5 oversteers, nearly hits the crowd at a car event [video]

Nice car nonetheless

The driver of the BMW M5 E60 from the video above lost control and nearly hit the onlooking crowd while showing off at a recent auto event.

Luckily, nobody got hurt and the event continued untroubled. Hopefully, next time the man behind the wheel will make sure the front wheels are straight before trying to impress the crowd.

Take a look for yourself at the video, uploaded to YouTube by the JEWETHE team. The action begins at 1:21 mins.

To adopt an evolutionary design

A prototype of the second generation Audi Q7 was spied recently on the Nürburgring circuit in Germany.

The range-topping Audi SUV was caught on camera yet again and just like before the prototype was fully camouflaged both inside and out. In one of the pictures we get to see the car at the test center with the boot open showing the taillights are integrated in the tailgate as they are on the current model. However, the boot sill appears to sit slightly lower which should provide an easier load/unload process.

Audi will not alter the Q7's design too much as the new model will adopt an evolutionary approach but expect to find a more angular tailgate and a slightly shorter rear overhang. Also part of the package will be LED-infused headlights and a prominent front grille together with bigger air intakes.

The 2015 Audi Q7 will utilize the MLB Evo platform and could lose up to 363 kg (800 lbs). Don't expect any surprises in terms of engine lineup but there could be a small 4-cylinder 2.0-liter TDI for the entry-level model along with a more frugal plug-in hybrid derivative offered alongside the usual 6- and 8-cylinder gasoline and diesel motors.

Audi previously said the all-new Q7 will come out before the end of 2015 but some reports indicate it will actually happen this year.

Honda S660 to be built in Japan starting 2015 - report

Honda S660 to be built in Japan starting 2015 - report

Honda S660 concept at Tokyo Motor Show 20.11.2013 [20th Nov, 2013]

To be built in Yokkaichi

Based on a report coming from Japan, Honda has apparently decided to put the S660 concept into production.

It was November 2013 when Honda unveiled a spiritual successor for its legendary Beat kei car at the Tokyo Motor Show and now it seems they made up their mind to start assembling the vehicle at home in Japan at the Yokkaichi factory. Hopefully the production version will keep the concept's design intact as it was a very pretty little roadster drawing its styling cues from the EV-STER concept.

The Honda S660 is programmed for a 2015 market launch and will have to compete with another resurrected popular kei car, the Daihatsu Copen. There are also some rumors about a Suzuki Cappuccino reboot for 2016 so we might see more of these models but chances are the automakers will offer them only in Japan.

Next-gen Skoda Fabia arriving in Paris this October, sedan comeback considered

Skoda Fabia Reaction 26.07.2013

RS version axed

The third generation of the Skoda Fabia has been confirmed for an October debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.

To the surprise of many, the next-gen Fabia will retain the current model's underpinnings and will not ride on Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform which was used for the Octavia. However, the car will get a whole new exterior and interior derived from latest VAG products and will be offered with just about the same engines found in the facelifted Polo.

Upon launch it will be available in the usual hatchback and wagon body styles but Skoda is also analyzing the prospects of bringing back the sedan although we are not sure where it will fit in the Czech automaker's lineup since they already have the Rapid.

Skoda Australia director Michael Irmer reconfirmed the company's intentions to drop the range-topping RS version and instead focus on the Monte Carlo editions which although come with the same engines as the standard versions, at least they feature a sportier appearance both inside and out.

Sales of the third-gen Skoda Fabia should kick off towards the end of the year or early 2015.

McLaren 650S Coupe MSO Concept 2014

Mclaren 650S Coupe MSO Concept 2014 Car Wallpapers

The striking MSO 650S Coupe Concept has a stealth-like, menacing appearence, with subtle upgrades made to the exterior bodywork and within the driver-focused cabin. The MSO 650S Coupe Concept is finished in 'Agrigan Black', which is a metallic black paint specially developed in-house with a deep ruby red metallic flake. This paint effect gives the exterior bodywork a dramatic colour change in direct sunlight, contrasting with the extensive use of satin-finished carbon fibre highlights. The lightweight carbon fibre accents, including the prominent front splitter and air intakes, are complemented by bespoke MSO carbon fibre side blades and the unique MSO ear diffuser.
