Hyundai has revealed official details of its upcoming Veloster Turbo model, which is listed with a rating of 204-hp. A significant increase over the 140-hp of the standard model the Gama 1.6-liter 4-cylinder gets a twin scroll turbocharger and direct-injection. Full power comes on at just 6000 rpm, with a significant 195 lb-ft of torque at just 1750 rpm.
In addition Hyundai has announced details of a Euro-market 2.0-liter 4-cylinder diesel with 150-hp and 282 lb-ft of torque.
Details of both engines were revealed at the company's 11th Hyundai-Kia International Powertrain Conference in Korea. The exact power output numbers for the North American market have not yet been revealed.
