Rod Stewart Ferrari F40 for sale
Driven only in California
A red Ferrari F40 once owned by rock singer and songwriter Rod Stewart will be auctioned at the end of the month. The Italian supercar will be put on sale by Auctions America during the Burbank event.
AA says the F40 is "mechanically flawless", has covered less than 7,900 miles and will be offered with its factory luggage set, books and manuals, tire inflator and car cover. Expected to fetch between 735,000 EUR ($1M) and 955,000 EUR ($1.3M), this pure beast has been driven by the rock star and other previous owners from 1990 to 2008 only on the streets of California.
F40s for sale are hard to find these days. The vehicle is still considered as one of the greatest supercars ever made and some call it the last real Ferrari. It has a 2.9-liter biturbo V8 engine with 478 PS (352 kW) and Pininfarina designed body that features panels made of kevlar, carbon fiber and aluminum for strength and low weight.
