The Aprilia RXV 4.5 - 5.5 received a series of significant upgrades for 2013 and now incorporates the latest technologies developed by Aprilia using its experience in the Enduro World Championship.
The bike is powered by a V twin 45.2 engine which has a 77 V angle. Thanks to its V twin configuration the engine has the advantage of vibrating less than any single cylinder unit. The engine's cylinders are integrated in the crankcase and have replaceable wet liners which make it one of the most compact twins in the world.
The bike is fitted with a new perimeter frame especially developed to host the compact V twin engine. What's more interesting however, is that the engine forms and integral part of the chassis increasing its rigidity. Additionally, the variable section aluminium alloy swingarm is now much lighter to improve traction.
