2016 Mazda MX-5 MPS render / X-Tomi Design
Looks promising
X-Tomi Design has envisioned the recently introduced 2016 Mazda MX-5 in the more appealing MPS (Mazda Performance Series) guise.
It was only yesterday when Mazda introduced the fourth generation Miata and already independent artists are creating digital projects based on the latest roadster which in 2014 is celebrating its 25th anniversary. One such example is X-Tomi Design from Hungary who is now sharing his vision of a hotter MPS derivative that comes with a beefier body kit including extended side skirts, a rear diffuser and flared wheel arches.
If the wheel design looks familiar, that's because it was borrowed from the Mazda3 MPS and in this application the rims were matched with a lowered sports suspension to create a more aggressive look. Besides applying an apple green paint, the artist also went for a dual exhaust arrangement and replaced the vertical strips of LED daytime running lights with circular ones.
