Nissan has taken the wraps off its new global compact car, the 2013 Nissan Note. According to Nissan, “With a goal of becoming the most user-friendly car in its segment, the new Note will explore the full potential of compact cars when it goes on sale in Japan this fall.”
Official specs have not been released, but Nissan claims that the Note achieves class-leading fuel efficiency and emission levels, combining advanced engine technology, a lightweight platform and improved aerodynamics.
The Note also gets Nissan’s advanced Around View Monitor (AVM) which is included for the first time in a compact car, and will be available with two different engines in Japan. One of the engines is the newly-developed three-cylinder supercharged, direct injection DIG-S engine
